This years hunt took place on December 12th, hunters and dogs woke to a very challenging weather day full of rain and sleet. Eleven youth took the challenge at Ringneck Ridge, in Laceyville, PA.
Qualifications for the youth hunt required each hunter to write an essay stating why they would like to come to the preserve. To be chosen for the hunt they must be between the ages of 11-17 years of age and completed a hunters safety course. Our objective is to provide young hunters with a learning experience on bird hunting over a gun dog, along with a guide and a mentor.
To register for 2011 hunt we request a written essay on why you would like to be chosen! Email your request to mindy@ringneckridge.com. Any new sponsors will be welcomed. Out next hunt will be December 2011.
